The sights are nice with full hook ups. The restrooms are clean but need work on stall door locks. Only thing with sites is to make sure there are no dead limbs over your RV. They said they were going to have the trees trimmed but at this time there is a lot of dead limbs hanging and ready to fall at any time. They say the Springs are closed until September but will give you a pass to Silver Glen Springs that is about 12 miles south on Hwy 19. It is a nice place to go for the day. The people are nice and helpful. The down side is the springs are closed. There is no or very little cell phone service. There is a little grocery store close but we would say take what you need as it is pricey on a lot of things and not a big choice of things. The closest full grocery is a Super Wal-Mart 20 miles north on Hwy 19. A word of caution: there is and old ferry road that goes by the camp ground. DO NOT TRY IT unless you are four wheel drive with sand tires. It is a 7 mile sand pit. I would give the camp ground a 9, but with half the park closed so a 6 is about the best I can do.

This is a nice clean park with outstanding park staff. The rest rooms and showers are old and unheated but very clean. That is the only downside. The park has nice hiking trails with lots of deer and turkeys to see.The roads are good for biking with a few hills and if up to it one can ride all the way to Keystone Heights on a nice paved bike trail that runs beside route 21.The lakes are low as all the lakes in the area but kids can still swim at the beach. There is a lot of history built into the park and is one of the oldest if not the oldest in Florida. It was built buy the CCC. We will go back.

The park staff are very nice. The RV pads are hard packed shell and clean. The bath house is being up dated at this time and the showers are closed on loop 30-60 but can go a 2/10 mile walk to the other side of the circle to shower. The park over all is kept clean and rangers patrol often. There are many hiking trails but it is not to good for off road biking as it is dry and loose sand on most trails as it is very dry there. The spring is nice with lots of picnic tables in the area. Stores are less than five miles for any thing you might need. We will go back to this park.

This could be a great park but at the time needs work. The Pine Grove camp ground has the dump station and one bath room shut down. Also they are not policing the park too well, as there were boom boxes on until 3.30 AM on the weekends. The river camp ground was full with cars parked every where, to where you could not get a trailer through the road with out dragging limbs. They say two cars per sight, but as with the quiet time, they did not enforce it. Some rangers are very nice some not so nice. There are a lot of places to ride bikes but most of the old roads are blocked off for what ever reason. This could be a very nice park but at the time is not close to what most of the Florida state parks are, as far as rangers and the general condition of the park.

At the time they are working on painting so the camp store and grill are closed. This is a very nice park and one of the best in Florida for fishing. We have camped here in the past and as all ways the staff do there best to see that the park is clean and safe. There is a road that runs between the camp sites and river front sites.

The only reason this is not a ten is the bath rooms and showers on the beach sights are not heated. The river sights are just very fine dirt. It was dry when we were there but the river camp sights would turn to sticky mud if it rains. The beach side spots are shell and sand. So you have a choice. A really nice shower and rest rooms on the river side or better parking spots on the beach side as far as tracking dirt into your RV. But the showers are not heated on the beach side and it was about 40 degrees while we were there. The showers and rest rooms on the river side could be in any five star resort. I was told that the same was coming for the beach side camp ground. Also the parking spots are a lot bigger on the river side and a lot more private.

Park was clean, and staff was very friendly. The down side was restrooms and showers could be updated. Also they were not heated, and with open ends when the weather is cold it can be a little nippy taking a shower. Some camp sights are tight to get a big rig in and are uneven ground side to side, which a few 2x8`s will fix. Also dump station is on a hill so depending on how your tanks are built that is good or bad.

This is a very nice park and the rangers are very friendly. We had trouble with our 30 amp plug as who every was there last had burnt it up. They went out of there way to get it fixed. Even after I told them I could get by with the 20 amp. They have Wi-Fi at Land Joe's at the beach. The grill is only open on week ends this time of year but the little store is open every day. Some sights may not fit your rig if a high fifth wheel on motor home due to low limbs even if sight is long enough for you. Rest rooms and showers are very clean as is the camp ground and park.

Very nice park but crowded most of the time. But if going to Key West about as close as you will get with out paying a lot more. The rangers are nice and the park is clean. The down side is that it is close to US one and the traffic noise is pretty loud. Other than that if there enduring the summer make sure to have mosquito spray and a good air conditioner.

The park staff is nice but the park can use some improvements. We got there after a heavy rain and our camp sight was a mud hole. The area is nice and a lot of things to see. They seem to be working on the camp ground and may be better by now. The rest rooms and showers look fairly new and were very clean. The sight we were on is number 008 and is low. If going back would pick a sight other than it.
